Chinese President Xi Jinping said that Beijing is planning and implementing measures to deepen comprehensive reform, create a law-based business environment of an international nature, and provide a broader development space for international companies than American ones.Xi urged the United States to work with China in the same direction, develop a correct strategic vision, and properly handle sensitive issues in order to maintain the momentum needed to stabilize bilateral relations instead of taking them in a downward direction.The Chinese President's statement came during his meeting in Beijing on Wednesday, with representatives from the American business, strategic and academic circles. Among those present were Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Committee on US-China Relations Evan Greenberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Blackstone Group Stephen Schwarzman, and President and CEO Qualcomm's Cristiano Amon, Founding Dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University Graham Allison, and Chairman of the China-US Business Council Craig Allen. Xi Jinping pointed out that China-US relations are among the most important bilateral relations in the world  , and that whether China and the United States cooperate or confront each other has an impact on the well-being of the two peoples and the future and destiny of humanity. He said that the successes achieved by China and the United States represent opportunities for each other, and as long as both sides regard each other as partners, respect each other, coexist peacefully and cooperate to achieve win-win results, Sino-US relations will improve. Xi Jinping stressed that Sino-American relations have witnessed many twists and turns in recent years and faced serious challenges, and that lessons are worth learning. He stressed that Sino-American relations cannot return to the past, but they can have a better future. The Chinese president said, "When President Biden and I met in San Francisco last year, the greatest consensus was on the need to stabilize and improve China-US relations.
