In-form Sanju Samson, on Thursday (May 2), failed to get going with the bat in the ongoing game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar castled the Rajasthan Royals captain for a three-ball duck to put Sunrisers Hyderabad on top. Sanju Samson had to walk out to bat in the very first over after Bhuvneshwar dismissed Jos Buttler for a golden duck on the second ball.
And on the fifth ball, the right-arm pacer sent back Sanju Samson to reduce Rajasthan Royals to 1 for 2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar rolled back the clock as he cleaned up the wicketkeeper-batsman with an absolute beauty. It was a trademark inswinger from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sanju Samson paid the price for trying to drive the ball. The ball went past the inside edge and brushed Samson's pad before hitting the middle stump.

Talking about the game, Rajasthan Royals were on 60 for 2 at the end of the powerplay. After Buttler and Samson's early departure, Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal have steadied the ship for the visitors. Jaiswal was batting on 32 while Parag was unbeaten on 25 at the time of writing this report.
Earlier in the game, SRH recovered from a poor start to post a big total of 201 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs. Nitish Reddy starred with the ball for the hosts, scoring an unbeaten 76 off 42 balls with the help of three fours and eight sixes. Opener Travis Head also played a crucial 58-run knock. Heinrich Klaasen helped SRH finish the innings strongly by smashing an unbeaten 42 from 19.
"Just backing myself from first ball. Got only 11 runs off 11 balls, I was backing myself for the Chahal over, it went pretty well. After that, I carried my game and Klaasen played a brilliant knock. Don't look at the bowlers who are bowling, just look at the ball, that's what I have been thinking, it really worked," said Reddy after the knock.
